Rubbish Removal    Curbside pickup each Tuesday morning beginning at 7:00 A.M. You are required to have an orange "B" sticker on your rubbish bags or use a yellow 33 gallon "B" rubbish bag. These are sold at the following places: East Burke market, Baileys and Burke, Mikes Redemption, West Burke Quick Stop, Aldrich's General Store, and the town Clerks Office. The bags and stickers are $2.00 each.

Recycling Center   is located at 212 School Street behind the Town Offices. The hours are Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. and Saturday from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. The following materials are accepted:

#1 and #2 plastics, mixed paper, boxboard, corrugated cardboard, newspapers, magazines, catalogs, telephone books, aluminum cans, tin cans, tinfoil pie plates, glass of all colors, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, and air packs.

Computers and microwaves accepted for a fee of 20 cents/lb.

Box tops and Campbell's labels are collected for education fund.

Returnable bottles and cans are collected and given to various group fundraisers.

Good usable items may be put in the "Free Shop".

Bulky Waste Day - Held every third Saturday of each month, from April to October. To give every one an opportunity, you must get an authorization slip from the Town Clerk's Office. In addition to bulky rubbish, used oil, batteries, car batteries, rechargeable batteries, florescent light bulbs, refrigerators for $25.00, and tires for $4.00 each under 16in and $5.00 16in and over.

Household Hazardous Waste day is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2005 beginning at 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the New England Waste Services of Vermont, Inc. (NEWS) Landfill on Airport Road in Coventry. This includes any household material that can be classified as toxic, corrosive, flammable, or reactive/explosive, such as paint, acids/bases, hobby  chemicals, pesticides, cleaning products, batteries, thinners/strippers, etc.
 

DMV-Motor Vehicle Renewals - The Town Clerks Office renews vehicle registrations for a processing fee of $3.00, bring your DMV renewal form with you.

Notary Public - There are three Notary Publics in the Town Clerks Office who can notarize your signature.
